"Whenever You Have The Chance, Laugh As Much As You Can. By This All Rigid Knots In Your Body Will Be Loosened." Sri Anandamayi Ma

Namami Yoga & Wellness

"Namami" is a Sanskrit word meaning "I bow", or "the act of offering respect". It signifies reverence, a form of greeting, or acknowledgement. Namami yoga is very close in style to what was taught and offered to us in the '70s. "Old school" hatha yoga, but with a touch of the modern day. The difference being that Rami, the power behind Namami, brings a contemporary edge while never letting go of the classical yogic teachings, including Yogic Philosophy, Vastu Shastra, the history of yoga ~ from the Vedic age until now, the mythology surrounding the postures, and so much more. Rami has a depth of experience that is extremely rare to find these days. Raised in an ashram in India, her daily life was living and breathing yoga. She has practiced yoga for over 40 years and taught yoga for over 20 years. She has taught in studios throughout Australia and the world, to a vast range of student ages and ability, however her main focus these days is therapeutic yoga. Rami's desire was to fill a gap in the market. She has resisted the popular American styles of yoga such as Vinyasa and Yin yoga, staying true to the roots of her traditional yogic upbringing.
The Namami yoga studio, includes an Iyengar style rope wall, as well as a therapy room for massage and kinesiology treatments. Rami specialises in private yoga classes, creating and guiding personalised practices to benefit the body and mind of the individual. To book in for kinesiology sessions or private yoga classes please email Rami on yoga@namami.com.au Remedial masssage, reiki and RESeT Therapy is available on Wednesday's with Kate McKail. Namami Yoga is the highlight of my week!
I was so happy to reconnect with the teacher as I have attended her classes in Singapore where she taught in the best biggest studios. What a privilege to have her teach you in semi private class in a cosy space like this! Her explanations are always impeccable and I really missed her hands on adjustments too. The studio has perfect equipment and a very cool old school vibe. Loved their curated selection of merchandise. Amazing experience

Namami acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land we are situated on, the Whadjuk people of the Nyoongar nation and Aboriginal people from other lands. We celebrate the continuing traditions, living culture, and the spiritual connection to Boorloo (Perth) and the Derbal Yerrigan (Swan River).
I have been practising yoga with Rami for over 2 months now and have realised for all the years of yoga I have done, I have been mearly showing up.
With Rami's teaching and guidance, I have never felt stronger!
